Carvoeiro's best!!!

Post by pinkiebluesky »

I think it would be interesting to know who you think is the most helpful, friendly person in Carvoeiro. Could be someone you met at a restaurant, car hire, shop,on the beach, taxi, anywhere. Please let us know why the person is special and what they did to make your day!

Do we have to limit ourselves to just one person??? At the top of my head I can think of Geraldine/Smilers and Libbe/Happy's. But there are muito muito more.

Yes, that's the way! But please tell us all why these people make your day better. I think we can all learn a little from other peoples qualities, and maybe make the world a better place!

Geraldine goes out of her way to greet everyone and makes them feel welcome, also gives out tips from good restaurants to where to buy gift wrap and how to use the pay phones at her corner for long distance calls. Not to forget her "Canadian Meetings" in the winter months.
Libbe, well he is Libbe, you do not pass by the Restaurant without getting a friendly wave and a huge smile and his personality shines once you are inside and experience the "Happy" service.

My vote goes out for my postman (or should I say postboy!!) Ricardo Cabrita, he ALWAYS has a friendly smile come sun, wind, rain or cold and a pleasent greeting every day. Thank you Ricardo

My vote goes to the Gentleman who runs Via Italia. Hugely Italian, gracious, witty, and he always slips me a 5 euro to say this

Tiny

-also the Belly dancing hostess is fine too, when its slower in the winter.

For general all round approach it would have to be Albano at the Grand Cafe and before him Carla was spot on (she now works with her husband Sergio at V.D.M. golf)

Paulo at O Cantinho deserves a shout as well

Agree with Heini and others regarding Geraldine at Smilers--very friendly& helpful. But would also like to put in a word for Eugenie in Colombos--no matter how busy she is she always has a smile and time for a friendly chat.

It's got to be Geraldine, she's incredible always friendly and must have the best memoryin the world. She makes a real fuss of the kids especially my daughter, so much so that they end up asking to go there all the time. Suits me; mines a super bock! :D
