Looking at the weather cam - its seems extremely pleasant out there at the moment. What is the general temperature for the month of April? - flying out on the 20th April - so i am hoping that the temp. continues to rise!! Hoping that it is shorts/t-shirt weather.

If this is to believed, there are showers in Faro and likely to remain that way for a few days with it improving in a week or so.

That weather forecast is not believable when you look at the sunshine in the square on the web cam!! We will have a great holiday whatever the weather.

Roll on a week on Friday! :D

Us northerners know a thing or two about rain, and that sunshine in the square is definately not rain!

Have a great time Julie and John

"It were always raining on Denley Moor. Even when it weren't actually raining there'd be a kind of misty drizzle so that you'd come home wet even though there were no evidence of precipitation in town rain gauge."

it is cloudy, overcast and raining in every corner of the Algarve except Carvoeiro.

Stand on a hill at Vale do Milho and look around - for the last five days with the exception of Saturday, the clouds have been hanging over Portimão, Monchique and out to the east, but overhead and to the south it was nothing but glorious sunshine and blue skies.

I love this town. 8)

Its been lovely here in Wolds all Easter..with folk in shorts & Tshirts in Horncastle on Sat.
Wonderful for me to take grandson out and about :)
Weather girl says its set fair for rest of week, with London going to 23 plus and even here in midlands 18 / 19.
I saw headline in Express ( I think :? ) today..that we're in for HOT summer here in Inglaterra, with temps around 100. Aparently we're one of the countries that will benefit from global warming..that folk from Southern Spain (Algarve too ) in the future will come to England's south coast as their countries will become unbearably HOT !
Ive had to water plants each day as the soil is so dry. So hopefully my slug problem may lessen if forecasts are true

But still looking forward to my month in CVO for September

Well it has been an extremely miserable day here in Cheshire - dull, cool and light drizzle - cannot wait now for our April holiday to come.

Ive even got a slight tan from the garden....our front garden gets full sun all afternoon. Yes, a very pleasant Easter weekend, quite a change from the usual weather this time of year..
Mind you can never put bets on it lasting and there could be snow by Whitsun! So have to make the most of it.
So what was it with the thunderstorms then? When Mike Chis's villa was struck?.where MC is I believe?

But you're luckier than central Portugual it seems.Ive seen a pic of icy hail stones from that part?

But it is still only April in both countries. I remember my first April in Portugal..that it was quite rainy. It came as a shock as I expected wall to wall sunshine & high temps every single day :)

Im convinced that CVO bay is a little 'suntrap' so feel sure those of you going out soon will get some fine weather & plenty of sun!
have a good one
