The two buskers who plagued our visits to the Bote/Martins every lunch time.

One has an accordion the other a tambourine.Sadly their repertoire is very limited and they interrupt your lunch when they ask you for money.

Hi Craig,
The sad thing is you end up humming one or the other on your way home!!!

Ahh but Janet, have you met 'Ernie Fiddler & his mate'?
on the fiddle & accordion?
This was a couple of years ago and they did the rounds. One day, as we came out of our apartment (up past the Primaveira) we could hear muffled music...on going round the back of the bins, there was ole Ernie & mate 'practising'
I suppose it can annoy..but then they're trying to make a living?
Bit like the strolling minstrels of ye olde England?
p.s. perhaps we ought to pack ear plugs next time?

Hi Ellie,
I don't know about strolling minstrels? that's one word or rather two for them.
Who's the young boy who also plays for music outside A rede, is he their son? or a future musician of the year?

Don't know that one Janet

....I recall 'Ernie & his mate' had a very small repertoire ( about 4 tunes I think

..if that

)..and I know what you mean about 'humming' there tunes afterwards!
I like that..'musician of the year'......good one

When we were last at our Monte Dourado apartment in May there was a busker living in a transit van across the road in the car park. We were entertained (free of charge) by him practising in his van...... it sounded awful. Fortunately we never saw him out at night..... wonder if he's still there. We're coming down there tomorrow earplugs ready.
