Hello everybody,
Last year while on holiday in CVO my family and I went on a Safari up the mountains of monchique (cant remember what the company was called that did the tour), It was a great day and the drivers were excellent. We also stopped at the farm were they make the local firewater (i think there is still pictures of this place under the news section). Anyway, has anyone else been on this trip? Could anyone tell me if it is still operating- i know the fires hit Monchique prity badly. Also if anyone could give me the contact details of the company that would be great,
Thanks
Matt

I went on this trip in August and I agree, it was a fanatastic day. The compamy we used were called Zebra Safari and we found leaflets in our hotel reception but I know there is another main company too - not sure what they're called. I don't know how the fires have affected these trips though.

There's a travel agency on the square a few doors to the right of the ice cream shop - they sell tickets for the zebra zafari there and arrange to pick you up from the hotel.
We went on it in September, a few days before the fires started again, and it was well worth it. Sampling the firewater, all you can eat pri pri lunch, swimming etc - a fun day out!

The fires have damaged the scenery but it was still a fab trip.
