mass

Post by Robbie »

I know people in Portugal celebrate Christmas a little differently to Ireland and the night of 24th Dec is a very important part of that with midnight mass but can anyone tell me does the church on the hill have mass on the morning of 25th Dec. If not is there anywhere else that celebrates mass on Christmas morning. I want to take my family to mass on Christmas day in the normal tradition here in Ireland rather than have them up at all hours to attend midnight mass. Any advice would be appreciated.

I know they had a carol service last year but it may have been Christmas Eve.

Lovely thought Robbie but can't help, I'm sure the answer will pop up within the next 24hrs. Wish I could be there as well.

The church in CVO does do a service on xmas day but remember it will all be in portuguese and lasts a lot longer than normal services in the UK. I think yr children may never forgive you for taking them there!! There is a carol service held at the tennis club thats pretty informal but its not on xmas day, it is though in English.

Thank you Sharen for the kind thoughts, unfortunately Janet O and myself will be hosting my father in law and a mate Steve. It's a bit like the waifs and strays round here on Xmas day and I'll be cooking! However Janet did say she was keen to try something different for Xmas next year so book early 8)
