For anybody who uses Birimingham to fly out to Faro, check out Mytravel Lite, but do it fast! They have fares from now until end of January (ex. Christmas/New Year) for £1 each way (£29inc taxes return)... Seems to be quite a range of availablity. Just booked a nice weekend break for the week just before Christmas.

Demand must be high as site is really struggling, but keep trying!!
