Easyjet £10 cahback - beware

Post by malrc »

This promotion which offers you cashback off your next flight when you currently book a flight is not all it seems.

When you click on the button on your confirmation you are transferred to a partner site 'Shopper Discount & Rewards'. On clicking through this site I got my voucher but found I had been enrolled in their program which after the first month free will cost me £8/month. More alarming however is that Easyjet has transferred to them my personal details and my credit card details for billing this service.

All this information is in very small print on Page 3 of the voucher details and something I think a lot of people will miss, so in many cases they will get back most of the £10 before anyone notices the item on their credit card statement.

I'm assuming that this must be legal although not good financial practice and to some extent my own fault for just clicking through their screen without reading all the small print but I guess we all do that these days.

Hi Malrc

I have just cancelled my membership as i too did not read the small print, just thought it was a good idea at the time.
Thank you for bringing it to my attention and the attention of other visitors to this forum.
