Hi everyone,
If I were to bring my wireless laptop into town, is there a particular location I could connect to the net? I know there are internet cafes but I was thinking more of being able to usemy own machine.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

Hello,
I'am using for about one year a euphony kanguru connection . The kanguru box costs about 75 euro and you pay a monthly fee approx. 25 euro. As far it did work without problems. We come over to Vale de Mihlo every 2/3 months.
More info on "
www.euphony.iberpita.com" and then"Kanguru"
Customerservice helps you in english.
I know that vodafone, and probably others, have the same.

Is Hemingways the only bar/cafe offering free wi-fi? Anyone know of any others?

There are wifi zones across the Algarve. The main one in Lagoa is by the cafes near the municipal pool. Very nice to go have a galão and do some work. The one in Portimão is the main square with the church on it.

hemmingways & Irish times are sometimes a bit of a nightmare when you have to find a parking spec! especially if you have to pop in about 5 times a day to check email, the golf club is easy to park in
