Thank you for the complimentary comments - however, and it leaves a nasty taste in the mouth, Steen has received and passed on a criticism of the newsletter for its content.
Carol spends many hours each month to produce this, which is a humorous comment on the life of a Carvoeiro resident and not purely a guide as to what is happening in the village.
Whilst she is obviously not above criticism, may I request that any comments, complimentary or critical, be made through open forum and not sent personally.

There are Philistines in every camp Roy. The vast majority love the newsletters.

Can't imagine any criticism of Carol' newsletter- it is always so interesting and far reaching (Spain, Italy, Dubai etc.) She deserves our gratitude for all of the time it must take to pull it together. Cheers to Carol!

Name and shame them. Why should they be allowed to hide behind a PM?

I agree with Michael, if anyone has a criticism of Carols newsletter they should at least have the 'proverbials' to state it on the open forum or else keep stum.
Personally I find them really entertaining & informative & appreciate the time & effort that goes into producing them.

Carol's newsletters have all been very entertaining. I love the mixture of CVO and everywhere and everything else. I hope she treats this coward with the contempt they deserve and that she continues her excellent work.
Mea culpa, anyone?

I love the newsletter it is like "A letter from America" where it includes news, insight and allows us to feel that we are there, also the cruise part was great as we all know the travellers it was a lovely way to see what they got up to.
How cowardly for someone to send a pm to criticize her hard work, we love every word Carol so don't be put off by the minority.

It would be interesting to see if he/she has the guts to come into the open.

Carol included the cruise because she always adds things from her life that happen outside of CVO, plus, many CVO members were keen to know how we four, Sharen & me, Roy & Carol, got on.
If she didn't report on the cruise there'd have been a lot more than one single complaint.

The Newsletters are a great read.
I have never been on a cruise and have to admit to having no great desire to do so, until I read about the great time that was had by all. Maybe I should have a rethink.
I guess there is always going to be a certain element of society that seems to take some sort of perverted pleasure in complaining. What sad lives they must lead and clearly have not got anything better to do with their time.
Keep up the good work Carol.
