Night To Remember

Post by Ellie »

Well now that Mike has got his Christmas food sorted and I expect all those who are spending Christmas in Carvoeiro are beginning to think about and book Christmas dinner --how about that idea for a Christmas night get together in CVOs square?
I cant remember who suggested it--was it a Guest or Eva or Tricky?
It sounds like it could be fun--especially if its a nice warm night--why be indoors?
We dont have to divulge our identities if we dont want to--it might be fun --just guessing whos who---or maybe--or is this too far fetched?--how about wearing disguise- as they do at a Venetian masked ball?--without ball gowns of course!
Or/ maybe wearing something that identifies where you come from I.E. A kilt for Scotland--shamrock -Ireland---or perhapsyou have other ideas/
Tricky--Eva --guests -I need help with this one!
How would we organise some music?
Maybe--if I get in touch with Portuguese friends in CVO--they might have suggestions-what d'you think?
Boa noite,Ellie :)

Hi, I did suggested the coming together in Carvoeiro.
A masked theme sounds like fun. a bit exciting too!
About the music, well I don't know who does organize the music normaly when there is a fest at the square. Maybe that organisation want to do it this time at X-Mas. The clothes to your home country would be easier I think. Not everybody has a mask!. And it is fun to see how many nationality's stay in CVO.

It is not difficult to wear something of your home country. Only please don't tell me to wear wooden shoes!!! haha

i am sure you will need a licence for this..best to make enquiries at the junta in carvoeiro...best if you get everyones passport photocoped as well just in case...no doubt it will come under an entertainment licence...

Hi Elli & Eva. Sounds like an excellent idea, and if the evening goes well why not make use of those empty fishing boats on the beach!!! As for disguise I may come dressed as a super hero, perhaps the 'Green Hornet

Fancy That!

Youre really getting into it now Eva! But if not wooden shoes--what else?
Or/ as "upforit" seems to be suggesting--fancy dress?---"The Green Hornet" uh? Suggests a sting in your tail :!:
Those fishing boats could get a little crowded--or are you merely suggesting a simple fishing trip :?:
Guest--it all sounds a little serious --talk of licences/passport registering etc. How about if folk brought their own instruments along/needing no electrics--guitars/bongos/whatever--still need a licence suppose?
Could we take a chance --if the Guarda came to investigate us --maybe we could use a little persuasion--and they'd--maybe--join in ,d'you think :?: Or would we risk detention in Lagoa jail ?mmm---.
"Fancy dress" seems a good idea---what would you choose--no--that would give the game away-------
But I do fancy this idea--but depends how many are "upforit" :!:
Bearing in mind--Im travelling overland to CVO---wont be much room for a big outfit--- Off to work now--how do I keep my mind on the job now :!: ---------Have a nice one,Ellie
