Has there been any news yet on when they are starting the work on the Square and what will be happening with the traffic in and out of the town in the meantime. Also, has there been any confirmation on where they are proposing to put the new carparks?

I have heard that it starts on the 6th of October and that parking will be made at a later date where the fresh food market is.A new parking lot (3 levels) with fish market on the roof.....
There will be a celebration party held in the square on the 4th of October as a goodbye to the old square that will be later carried on in the 'Bote' club.

Hopefully I have misunderstood the previous post.....a 3 layer parking lot?? a multi storey in Cvo....surely not,what about the view to see??

That is what i have been told..... But the project i think is on show at the freguesia in carvoeiro.

It is planned to be three storeys, but built into a dip. Supposedly you will drive in on lvl 2 and drive down to park.

Excuse me, but where is the fresh fruit market?

If you are in the square, walk up Restaurant Hill (Estrado do Farol) and the first proper road on the left about 150 yards up is where the market is.
