Hi

Does anyone know if there is a show on this summer at the open air showground in Silves. Last year it was the Rhythm of the Dance which was fabulous?

whenever I ask at the office all I get is a shruggy, they seem not to know a thing until about a week before

sadly the fabrica inglese is now very poor compared to when it started a few years ago, they had lazer show with fountains (now never used!!!) open air seating on first come first served basis


they then charged a very low entry ticket (5 euros for a season ticket) and the place was buzzing at night, now with show tickets costing a fortune very few eat there at all

its sad when they had such a good thing going thats its been left to rack and ruin

All a bit of a dead duck I think. The owners (Alicoop) are in terrible financial disarray. It will close or be sold off methinks - but who would buy it?

Thanks. What a shame we have spent some enjoyable evenings there. Hope they don't build apartments or a hotel. Such a shame to spoil a nice old town.

I agree it is a shame as I was looking forward to seeing and enjoying the place as many have said what good fun it was. Now it must be what was I suppose, unless something wonderful happens this season.
Has anyone really got the gen on this place to see whats happening. Surely someone local to Silves, or those with the right contacts can get the low down for us all on the site.
A challenge for someone out there,perhaps.

from what I can see its never been updated for a year or so

I went today to ask about their show,its supposed to start on the 20th July but guess what ...they dont know what it is!

the aqua laser show they do not use any more because a key component has failed and was made by a usa firm who have now awol
