Wolves Update
I recently received my latest 'Wolves' newsletter and this edition mostly concentrated on the wolf situation in Quebec Canada.
As I read through it I was horrified to see a list of the animals killed there in one year merely for their pelts--all told the number was over a quarter of a million animals
These not only included small animals such as the Beaver--but 'Black bear'(over 1500) and the Canadian Lynx (3,500)--the wolves got off lightly with a 'mere' 353!
We have had a discussion on here about the preservation of the Iberian Lynx which is fast disappearing--from the above statistiics looks as though the Canadian one may well go the same way!
To voice a protest at this out& out unnecessary slaughter of these creatures for their furs(which looks a whole lot better on them than us!)
