Hi - it USED to be Blue Rock, however he has gone now and it is a new Portuguese Butcher now.

It´s not a new Portugueses butcher - it´s the owner who used to be there before during all these years. Back to old standards now.

To echo pato's question, has anyone used the new/old butcher? Any comments on quality?

Walked by there on Saturday morning. His sign has gone, and the counter was empty. Fechado?

Still all closed up it's such a shame, he struggled with it first time round which is why he leased it out to the SA butcher & he didn't last long.

Nice unit though, wasted as a butcher's now it's got that nice big terrace.

Thinking of closures, mini-market Bom Dia in the village closed it's shutters last Saturday, and they have not opened since. They usually stay open over winter, so anyone know if they have closed permanently? We used to use it for bread rolls, since they baked on the premises.

Re mini market, is that on the out or the one on the in road

It's on the out road, Mike, the one closest to the square. It does now have a board up saying "Fechado", so I guess that is it. What with Alisuper gone, it is proving a bad year for the mini-markets.

Thanks Barry, didn't particularly rate that one. Much prefer the small jam packed one on the inroad or of course the shops in the market.
