I went to innside cafe two weeks ago and had a cocktail that was priced at 5.50€! and i thought that was really expensive for a coupe of scoops of ice cream and a little bit of alcohol. I went there last night for 1 and he tried to charge me 6€!! he said the price has been the same for a year.. i know it petty but you need to look after your customers not rip them off!! wont be going back..

On outroad on right hand side if you are travelling out of town. Rep for ripping off Brits. Seems to be a place for local posers to hang out..

They have the prices either on the cocktail list or the black boards and you can also ask for the paper from the till to check. Depending on what you drank, it may well have cost 6€, but there is nothing as solid as checking before you buy.

Then again, most people have been so used to ordering and paying blindly while the economy and the exchange rate is good, it does come as a bit of a shock when one actually looks at the bill and does the math.

When you look at pricing and say "a couple of scoops of ice cream", you are looking at €2,5 at any local ice cream parlour. Add to that the alcohol, decoration and the labour of a flair bartender, plus rent, electricity, fees and licences - how much do you think they really make on an individual cocktail nowadays? Were you not served? Entertained?

Sure, you can make the same at home for a buck fifty, but then you would not get to apreciate the company of all those local posers.

Had quite a few drinks in there and although 6E may seem alot, pretty much on a par price wise with other cocktail type places (Rascals when it was open , Cocktail Garden, Havana). The beer and normal drinks are not too excessive either.

Think problem is what you chose....if you went for the Long Island Iced Tea 6E would seem a bargain!

When we were out in September i think Bar Havana's cocktails were 4.50E each - and between 6 and 8 in the evening 2 for the price of 1. Luis at Cocktail Garden was charging 4.50 Euros each i think.

6 euros is expensive even in 'old' money (1.40E to the £), so to speak, IMO.

Luis's long island Ice tea is the best thing ever and worth every euro (even if he's not a great juggler )

Why would you use another bar when you own (run) one??

I use this as a rule of thumb, if there are no prices displayed and I have to ask the price then I cannot afford it, be it for a pair of shoes or a cocktail!

Totally agree, if there is no price list displayed I am not going in.

There is a price list (usually on every table) at Innside with the price of each cocktail listed, as well as a happy hour sign outside!

I think the Innside is OK - there are plenty of bars that are cheaper for beer etc, but its a cocktail bar - never a cheap one in the UK! Besides, the owner has to make a living - all the electrics, glasses, staff etc are not free! TheBoss has exercised his right not to go back, which is fair enough, but we need a variety of choice in CVO. Give the Bar owners a fair chance of making a living and don't be too down on them - particularly if the drink was OK

I prefer to have a glass full of cocktail as opposed to a glass full of ice with a hint of cocktail...you pays yer money and takes your choice...
every place has a different clientele with a different atmosphere plus every place will suit different occasions and different people at different times of the evening.
