Squash

I'm visiting the Algarve and Carvoeiro for the 1st time this August with the family.

My two children are keen squash players (County Standard) and would like to get on court at least a couple of times while they are here.

Can anyone recommend a place that will / may allow non members to play that I can investigate.
We will have a car so distance is not really a problem.

Thanks.

I think the Tennis Club has a couple of courts. I suspect they would welcome visitors.

Years ago when I played, a fellow team member was going on holiday to Menorca. There were no courts on the island but he still took a racquet in case the plane was diverted to somewhere that did!

Sorry, duff info! There may be some at "Praia da Rocha".

My wife uses the Tennis Club twice a week when we are in residence and has not noticed a squash court. The only one I could turn up was Montechoro Sports and Leisure Club, Albufeira. Tel 289 580 560. Hope this helps.

I am pretty positive there are no squash courts at the Carvoeiro Tennis Club.

Closest is Clube Praia da Rocha where there is a glass backed court available to anyone walking in. It is €6 per hour and court quality is just about ok. I play weekly and it will certainly be good enough to keep the boys in tune. There are 2 others around in Praia da Rocha but the quality is terrible. There used to be an excellent court available in the 3 star Hotel Belem in Armacao de Pera but that was sold last year and court unavailable. There is of course Barringtons and Browns but miles away and alot more expensive.

Hope this helps

Not squash, but does anyone know if there are any table tennis clubs in or near CVO?
