where do you recommend to watch the play offs - are there any good football bars with atmosphere?

Hi. Hemmingways is the bar most recommend for football. Personally I preferred the Black Stove on Estrado do Farol on the right. There are more and most will advertise on a board outside. Beware of Blackpool FC!!!

If you are staying near Rocha Brava - Heldars Bar is great for all sports - 3 screens. Heldar supports Benfica. Also great for snacks/light meals whilst watching the games.

we are staying at Colina Verde but havent a clue where that is!!!

Now wouldn't it be great to see Blackpool back in the top flight - now that is living in the past (see post on Pedra Grande) - who remembers Stanley Matthews

My mum hated him becasue she's a Bolton supporter and there is always comments about the "Matthews Cup Final" when they beat Bolton.

I also feel that Stan Mortensen would also be a bit miffed too. as if my football memory serves me right he scored a hatrick in the 53 Cup Final and doesnt merit a mention.
