drive time to lisbon / train service?

Would appreciate if someone can advise how long it would take to drive to Lisbon. Will be in Carvoeiro in Sept and kind of interested in doing this trip.

Otherwise is it the type of trip that would be nice by train?

Where would you hook up with a train for such a service. Have 2 children so considering easiest options.

Cannot wait to return to Carvoeiro.... was there 2 yrs ago for honeymoon and loved it!!!!

The reporter for Daily Mirror said he drove from Lisbon to Faro in 2 hours.

We have driven from Lisbon to Carvoeiro a couple of times and averaged around 2 hours without stops.

It costs about 18 euros in tolls on the new road, but I think it is worth it.

Thanks guys.... I think the drive might be nice.... take in a little of Portugal on route and not too long for a baby & child in tow....
