We booked a return transfer with the above.

Pick up at Faro was fine, upon arrival in CVO we were asked to pay the full return fare 90 euros.

On the morning of departure , after 20 mins waiting for car to arrive, I rang them and they told me the minibus had 'broken down'

Instead of sending another car for us and despite the fact we had already paid for this, I was told I would have to organise my own transport back to the airport and pay for it

They said they would send a text telling me where to meet their rep at the airport to reimburse us. No apology was given and no text arrived the rep could not be found at the aiport

Despite numerous e mails and the occasional reply we have had no money from then and now they are ignoring us completely.

It is now 3 weeks, "money send yesterday" 10 days ago, was one of the replies.

Surely there is no need for anyone to request full payment after only providing 50% of the service they claim to provide.

k) Algarve Transfers Direct can be held liable for any losses incurred due to a breach in contract. In such cases of breach of contract Algarve Transfers Direct liability is 800€ per passenger.

l) Should Algarve Transfers Direct fail for any reason within our control to reach your destination, then Algarve Transfers Direct must provide you with alternative transport. The type of alternative transport will be decided by Algarve Transfers Direct and the cost reimbursed to you by Algarve Transfers Direct to the amount originally paid by you.

Did you ever get a refund?

He should have done according to their own Conditions of Contract!

No I havent received any refund, nor am I likely too.

ATD are now not responding to any of my e-mails, requesting an update of where my refund is.

The last e-mail was to say "it will be refunded in the proper time" !!!

I have requested contact name and postal address so we can get legal proceedings started , but again no responce.

All this was after a message stating refund had been sent the previous day at the end of July.

All I can continue to say is DO NOT use Algarve Travel Direct as they are liars and thieves.

Their lack of response speaks volumes for them.

Total lack of professionalism for the so called "best taxi sevice in the Algarve.

Funnily enough just returned from a week in Carvoeiro , where we used a local taxi (Fernanda) who strangely enough met us on time at both airport and at apartment on return.

Thanks Michael/laserblazer, it would seem we are not on our own.

How dare this company continue to take peoples hard earned money without a care for the consequences, missing flights, no money to pay for taxi's etc.

An absolute disgrace.

At least a good many members of this forum will be giving them a wide berth. That's a good start.
