Welcome to the forum sinkie. There are a number of hot spots in the town. Most require the purchase of a drink, which is a good excuse Hemmingways is a good one but as MC said, do a search and you'll find more.

I believe if you go into Silves and into the park there (with the statues) you can pick up wi-fi from there?

Posting from Casa Palmeira right now! Food was excellent too! we had the seafood rice. messy but very tasty and reasonably priced. Lots of locals use it so I always reckon that's a good sign.

Had a great two weeks. Problems with Irish Times, down when I visited, Hemmingways worked no problem (even had a sense of humor over leaving password). For anyone up the hill Cafe Fino have free wi-fi and great for lunchtime snacks.
