Returned from Monte Carvoeiro after two weeks on holiday enjoyed apart from one thing the noise that comes on a daily basis from the cocktail garden.
I do not know how the Jazz bar and sports bar put up with it. We could not hear ourselves speak when we were sitting in the Jazz bar. What a lack of respect for everyone else that works there. I did go speak to them but as I needed to shout I gave up as I do not enjoy being jumped on to buy a drink as soon as I start to walk up the stairs.

The noise put me off going to the square and we ended up in town most nights.PLEASE PLEASE COCKTAIL GARDEN OWNER RESPECT OTHER PEOPLE.

The whistle blowing and dropping of plastic bottles did give us a good laugh though.

Interesting. We used to frequent the Cocktail Garden on alternative evenings when we first started visiting CVO, as we stay in the Monte CVO area, but during our last visit (came home last Tuesday eve) we didn't go at all. The last couple of years have been dead in the circle of restaurants/bars in Monte CVO so we avoided this year. Felt guilty actually, because we enjoyed Luis' hospitality.

Visited Jazz bar for live music on Friday which I could not hear such a shame as Cocktail music so loud you got it right to stay away. Also do not get fooled being offered free drinks to complete games at cocktail garden 2 were put on table and was told that get drinks free if could do. Managed but then rules changed needed to complete 10 games to get free drinks.
Jazz bar owner really friendly

You have to do the last one, which is all but impossible.

My point is we were only told we needed to complete 10 once we had done first 2. The main argument is the loud music coming from the bar not giving any one else a chance.I was speaking to a family that had to be moved from the appartment above due to the terrible noise on a Sunday evening.Karaoke going on until after midnight at full volume what a lack of respect
