A true classic Michael :D

However, we would recommend that you contact the Carvoeiro Golf Shop located at the top end of the "In Road". They tend to offer rounds of golf, golf club hire etc cheaper than the actual golf courses. Their number is 282 354 061.

Contact Richard Ballington of Algarve Golf on 914194899 or algarve.golf@mail.telepac.pt and I am sure he will organise you an excellent golf package.

Twilight rounds are good value (eg Gramacho 26 euros Pinta 31 euros.) You can usually get at least 16 holes played and on most occasions I have managed the full 18.

We know friends living in the Algarve who have booked one of the " hotel Golf " packages as these worked out a lot cheaper than a package of rounds. The hotels have the purchasing power with the courses particularly in high season.

Agree with you EMM. It's becoming ridiculous - you can buy a package with Pestana with 5 rounds of golf, breakfast and an apartment on the course for 7 nights for under €400.

It is mad with Pestana - my brother-in-law is actually considering booking an apartment with golf included because it works out cheaper than him borrowing my villa (for free) and paying for the golf !

I'm not the worlds biggest fan of Salgados but CS Golf also own Morgado & Alamos, they offer very cheap golf holidays too in the winter, up to full board if you want it

But once you've factored in the lost balls at Salgados it can be VERY expensive (unless you get those special floating balls!)

It's when I arrived and they asked if I wanted a buggy or a canoe that I started to worry :?
