We and 3/4 other apartment owners are considering installing a dish with connections to our apartments.
We have a price from the " friendly local brit " which seems expensive.
Has any one done this and what should we pay ?

I had a dual lnb sysytem installed by RJ tecnica Sept 2009 - €480. The expensive bit from RJT is always the LNB - You can buy a 4 output from UK for ~£12 and an 8 output for ~£20 - RJT will charge you at least 4 x this. If you want to save a bit, ask them to supply a single LNB line (€420) and ask them the extra to install 3 additional wires to the other apartments - then buy a 4 way LNB off e-bay and get it shipped to you in portugal.

It is very easy to change the LNB - 2 screws usually and then connect the cables with the screw in connectors. If you want to have two TV outputs - main + 1 bedroom in each apartment, have two cables installed for each - same job as one, just the extra cable and connectors - then buy an 8 way LNB!

Mark has quoted to install a new 80cm dish, replace the LNB in the 130cm dish and set up both systems. He recommended us buying the freesat receiver in the UK but letting him source the Astra 1 receiver. His quote was very reasonable. I have his email address if you are interested. PM me if so.
