Can anybody recommend a particular Doc. that they have dealt with? I should have spelled out that as per the Subject title I was looking for a recommendation of a "Urologist at Hospital Particular". There are seven urologists listed there and if anybody can recommend one through their experience I would be grateful.

Dr Vieira is very good but I am not sure that he deals with Urology. You could ask him if he can recommend someone. If you are looking in the UK then I can recommend someone.

Dr Vieira has been in CVO quite a while and we tend to use him if we need a Dr (which is rare thank goodness) so would think he'd be able to help as most Drs have inside knowledge I'm sure.If yr in CVO pop in and make an appointment. His wife is the receptionist there so I'm sure if you initially let her know your enquiry they will point you in the right direction if they cannot assist.

The answer, as I found out , is they do not have any permanent resident urologists. Their "team" is in fact a group of part timers from Lisbon. I was very disappointed with the service and would not recommend.

Have you tried Hospital Santa Maria in Faro. In my opinion far superior in terms of treatment and cost but carpets not so thick ?

Vieira is a nice guy, but you pay. I paid 55 euro's to get a bandage on my leg and a prescription.

I suggest you pay a visit to Robert Popken in Estrada do Farol, Tell him your problem and ask for a referral. He has been here for many years and knows all the good specialist quacks - he even used one himself!

You can pay €70 to the above to to get the advice I gave you on 17th May or......
