I am coming for a rather longer break in 2 weeks time and thinking of visiting places around. has any of you been to Beja or Evora, are they worth visiting?

Beja not so much...but Evora, Monsaraz, Estremoz, Borba are all fantastic wine growing areas. Lots of old architecture, good food, and beautiful countryside. Well worth a visit. Try and stay in Evora fantastic walking tours there and a good base to travel from.

Have you been to the Eastern Algarve? Thend drive north along the Guardiana river.
