Marinha Beach

I was looking through some old CVO photos from about 8 years ago and came across the inevitable scene taken from the car park out to sea. I compared it to a more recent one and noticed the difference of the rock formations at the far end of the beach. When did this collapse take place? It also seems that the beach has been shortened a fair amount by this collapse. Now it will be busier and a tighter squeeze more than ever I should imagine in peak season :?
Have there ever been any plans for access to the other beach which is located at the end of the pathway on the way down to Marinha? It just seems that with all this new building work going on, we are going to be running out of beach space :(

I'll stop worrying now...I prefer to be by the pool in any case!!

Wasn't it a strong earth tremor that caused the fall of those rocks?
We experienced one when we were there...but believe the rocks fell sometime after that..maybe Biffa or Gambrinus can tell us?
