Sorry bruce. If u send me your list of places i am allowed to go to on my holidays that would be most welcomed. We visit a wide variety of places each year, one of them happens to be ma-ja's not quite sure why thats an issue. People spend their holidays how, where and when they want. Just the last 48 hours back on here has reminded me why i haven't bothered for 6 months-my dad was pretty much accused of posting a restaurant review because he was an insider and u judge where i choose to go.
No wonder new people don't bother.

stay with it holiday1, it's nice that you can look forward to your holiday from 3 months away; when we started coming in 1983 with Unijet, remember them?, our cabbie (who still works in the town) used to pick us up at Faro, stop at a small AliSuper in Lagoa for milk & bread as the Carvoeiro shops had closed and took us straight to (old) Antonio's,now Lanterna, suitcases & all to get our infusion of flambee prawns, extra bread to dip in the piri piri juice; and the first chilled mouthful of Superbock hit the back of the throat, we'd looked forward to that moment for months; and so should you, hope the time passes quickly for you :)

On the other side of the coin, on my last visit to London I had a pastel de nata (Portuguese custard tart) in a local Portuguese café and it was one of the best I've ever had! Enjoy your stay here holiday1 :)

Mark and Jan offer a varied menu and I have yet to be disappointed in any meal there no matter what its 'nationality' is. We often go there to meet friends for a drink and invariably end up having a meal. :P

A few of the boys and myself where in Ma-Ja’s twice last week, once for Sunday Lunch and once for an evening meal, we all had enjoyable meals on both occasions. I vaguely remember a few bottle’s of decent red wine going down rather well. :D

OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO  Who's got her knickers in a twist??? :D

You are so precious.....you obviously need a holiday.

Ma-Jas isnt an issue....I was just suggesting that it seemed a wee bit strange coming all this way to Portugal, and then heading for the local English restaurant before going to something a little more in character with Portugal.

BUT....each to his/her own.......enjoy your holiday wherever you go :D
