I am not surprised, I was at Volvo, Faro at 10 am this morning, which is right next to the airport, and their entire forecourt was under 6 inches of water, and their showrooms and workshops completely flooded. It was amazing, I don't think I can remember seeing such heavy rainfall.

Now, now Jamie. I will have you know, Old Trafford is ten minutes away from my house and is most definitely the nearest football league ground to where I live. I am a true red and always have been.
Rich, can't keep us reds out. Even the clouds are parting to allow my flight in on time. ha ha  (that's a little red devil by the way)

We flew out yesterday. Having got to the airport about 09:15 and travelled the A22 in very heavy rain, getting the hire car back was always going to be wet. But with the storm at its peak nothing could prepare us for what we found inside departures. The whole of the departures was flooded with water coming through the ceiling like water fountain walls. All this with the electric still on and the airport staff just putting plastic trays out to catch the water. Needless to say they were full within seconds. We eventually took off for the UK nearly 3 hours late as our in bound plane was diverted to Malaga with others going there as well. Other diverted airplanes went to Lisbon. All in all a truly incredible situation.
