Does anyone know if and how much makro charge for delivery.

I would think that they will charge on weight, size and location. You will have to ask for each item or items.

Large items such as washing machines, fridge/freezers etc. have always been delivered free for us.

So, did you fill the freezer with all your shopping before asking for delivery ?

Probably doubtful me thinks. So I am still none the wiser, but I guess it means going into MAKRO on Wednesday when we are next door at LRM's and finding someone that speaks reasonable English.

Go to the information counter as you go in and they will help you. They speak very good English at least every time that I have been they did.

Whilst you are there Yvette....go over the road to Radio Popular....you may well find that they are cheaper.....and they definitely do free delivery.

Yes, I take my UK Makro card with me and my hubby always has the fiscal card. I can never really understand why I have to use a fiscal card in Makro, but I guess they have their rules.

The ones we want are the Alibi (or something like that - it could begin with a B). The sort that hotels have. white plastic with textoline coloured yellow or blue usually that goes over the frame work. They also sell them on the main road at Lagoa for about twice the price of Makro. They are a good deal more expensive than the other variety, but we think they should last much better. I have seen the cheaper variety for about 60 euros in a number of places - supermarkets, etc. Anyway do you really mean Radio Popular as I thought that they sold electrical stuff.
By the way called and made an appointment re: security on Thursday. Hope he works out where we are.
