Has anyone eaten in The Olive Tree recently it looks good The Olive Tree

We are taking some customers there during the World Superbikes any feedback would be of interest.

Eaten at Olive Tree, VDO, on 3 occasions. Always impressed with quality of food. In June 2011 we tried the 7 (? can't remember actual number!) course taster menu. Very good! They also did an Early Bird menu (6pm to 7 or 7.30 pm). it was good value. The Head Chef got to the fianl of the Portugese version of Professional Masterchief.

Went for a walk there just over a week ago, but it was early in the morning. Looked good and as a result of your posting I just sent an email as I want somewhere for new year's eve.

Strange, the thread title just fell into place. Just had a week in Rhodes and the goats in the area of Kolimbia actually climb the trees to eat the new leaves, no KIDDING.

I'm probably a bit biased as we have an apartment at VDO but we have found the restaurant excellent. It's at the top end of Carvoeiro prices but for quality it is up there with the best. We eat there about twice a week when we are out

I'm waiting for details for new year's eve, thinking of going to VDO, but will depend on the price and general uptake as i worry whether it will be a good turn out to create the right atmosphere. What time of the year do you go and is it busy in the evening?

Vale dos Olivios which is a small village type setting of bungalows and apartments in the Carvoeiro area next to Gramacho golf club. Olive tree is their restaurant.

Can't recommend VDO highly enough. Have never stayed there but the facilities are top notch - excellent gym, pool (indoor and out), spa with excellent variety of treatments and the restaurant is first class. Good cocktails too

Dined in Olive Tree last Saturday, excellant meal. About to change their menu and are looking to offer a New Year bash! Shame that we won't be able to attend. Today the other half enjoyed a very relaxing couple of hours at the VDO spa.

I went looking for this restaurant in October. Nearest I came was a large sign on a wall showing it was to the right. Best I could come up with was an entrance with a barrier across it but I didn't even attempt to enter. So in the end we ate in the village - first time in L'Orange and it was good and nice and cosy.

That may be an option for us as it's close to the villa also. JS what sort of price was orange and do you know if they are opening for NYE? We have driven passed orange restaurant so many times.

Just had confirmation NYE - live music, food, drinks package, parking and maybe fireworks is the whopping total of 145 euros per head at VDO. Bit to rich for me.
