Is there anyone out there who could help me out with 2 or 3 phrases I need translating into Portuguese?
Hopefully one day (and I have made a start) I will be able to do it myself.
I don't really want to pay for the servie just wondered if there was anyone or if anyone knows of anyone or a website etc.

unless babel fish has improved I would say don't use it. It gives literal translations which is ok for one or two words but as soon as you are trying to find phrases its rubbish. It is brilliant for a really good laugh (poems and song lyric esp good) but if you are translating things for business or for anyone to read, understand and not think you are completely mad then get a real person to do it.

Ok well I have tried it and I do have a translation. I have no idea how good the translation is though. So, this is what I need translating:

If I'm lost look inside. Se estou perdido, verifique conteúdo
Serial number on this band matches the number held by the child carer. O número de série nesta banda/plaqueta corresponde ao número detido pelo tutor da criança
Name: Nome
Contact name and number:Nome e número de contacto
Medical conditions and allergies:Estado de saúde e alergias
Hotel name & phone number:Nome e contacto do hotel

Can anyone come up with the correct Portuguese for this?

The band is a child's wrist band. These are all security tag-type things for children in case they get lost. A friend of mine is making them and must be panning on doing some in Portuguese.

Hmmm tagging children? What a great idea!!
I always found that a stout chain round the ankle attached to a concrete block works quite well. Just make sure to leave a bowl of water if there is likely to be strong sun...
