Please do send details of Carvoeiro (and anywhere else in the Algarve) Free WiFi venues not on Algarve WiFi to admin@algarvewifi.info to get them included in the listings. (GPS locations REALLY do make it easier to add a hotspot! )

Half way up restaurant hill is Bar Mexilhao and there is wifi for customers ... Ask Luisa for access

Just walk along the roads with your hotspot search on - they pop up everywhere - some without passwords - others are the names of the bars/restaurants that offer free wifi - basically it must be nearly all of them now..

.... and if you don't want to hijack a foreign unsecured wlan : or if you don't want to drink a beer while checking your mails but prefer sitting on your sofa in your holiday villa : it is very easy and without any formalism (you don't even have to give your name or address) to buy an internet-prepaid-card, for example in the shop inside the Intermarche-building.

The guy in the shop is very helpful and will answer your questions.
