Seems alot of rental agents not doing so well! some may even go down this year!

Our villa is only half full!

We've had just two weeks free between 20 March and the end of October. Our best year yet! I guess we must be doing something right!

Who does your bookings?

We do our own, using hoiday-rentals.com to advertise.

Why don't we get a hold of each others email address's and pass info on to each other on possible renters?
For instance I was inundated for September but have not let 2 weeks in July! I could have passed those September people on to members.
What do you think?

Sounds like a great idea to me. If anybody has similar accommodation it makes sense to pass potential clients on to other owners when yours is already booked. We are doing well for June, July and early August but have no bookings for September yet. I would gladly pass on enquiries to people who have similar property to ours so long as it was a two way process

What is the best way to do this then?
Can I give you my email address and if so how do I get it to you safely without all the nutters getting it and doing silly stuff?

Don't know if this is of interest to anyone struggling with renting out their property this year, but my cousin has just started an advertising website for holiday property both in the UK and abroad. She is based in the UK and has a lot of experience in advertising. She is launching the site any day now and is offering a 30 day Free Trial. It is purely an advertising site and not a travel agency. You can advertise your property or your own website on her site. After the 30 day free trial you are free to leave the site or if you wish to continue you then pay £100 to advertise for a whole year. Nothing to lose really! You just have to send her a photo and details of your property.
