Jubilee Celebrations
This may seem strange coming from a native north of Hadrian's Wall......but are any venues in CVO planning any Jubilee Celebrations (just realised not sure of actual date!!) I do know that we're over during the celebrations and would like to raise a glass or two in celebration.

She's your Queen too - and I suspect many from the Blue side of Glasgow and corresponding side in Edingburgh will be celebrating as well.
Re: Jubilee Celebrations
Hi Smudger. I asked a similar question some time ago but the post went off in another direction!! However, Barry at Rascals Bar did suggest they were considering doing something along the lines of a street party. Not sure if it ever "got off the ground" and whether or not they are actually planning something!?! Barry - over to you !
Re: Jubilee Celebrations
A street party on the hill outside of rascals, could be fun !! ??
Doubtfull though just think of the permits and paperwork that would be needed.

Re: Jubilee Celebrations
Two things, you obviously do not understand how difficult it would be to organise a "street party " in Portugal. It is not the UK.
As for the comment about the hill ,it is little on the steep side to say the least and not exactly suitable for such an event.
" Facts not negativity ".

Re: Jubilee Celebrations
EMM if you go back into the first topic about the Jubilee you will see that Rascal's are planning to do it on their terrace not on the street.
and yes I do understand that it will be difficult to organise , but don't spoil peoples bit of fun even before it has started by putting a downer on it

Re: Jubilee Celebrations
I think that the jubilee is a great idea, apart from the obvious reasons to celebrate we get a day off and are doing wonders for the chinese economy with the flags, bunting and other tat that will be thrown away the day after.

Re: Jubilee Celebrations
Ma Ja's that's a shame, people are asking what is happening for the Jubilee, surely you would only be answering a question !

Re: Jubilee Celebrations
Would anyone "need" a license for a "spontaneous" party !!
If enough people of like mind get together it would turn into a party, wherever they wish to meet !
