Taking dog home on flight

Can anybody help please. My elderly mum and dad are sadly leaving the Algarve after 10 happy years to live back in UK.
They have asked me to book their flight plus book their little dog aboard too.
It would appear EasyJet dont allow animals in the cargo at all. Is this correct?
Does anybody know which airlines from Faro to UK do allow pets?

Easy Jet only allow assistance dogs on their aircraft.
Monarch and British Airways do carry them in the hold but only on flights into Manchester and London Gatwick (BA also use Heathrow).
My sister in law took her dog when she went to live in Cyprus she had to have a pet passport, vet reports etc. I expect it is the same for dogs arriving in the UK.
The airline will tell you what their requirements are.

I flew one of my dogs from UK to Prague and if I were to do it again I think I would use the link above... I think it sounds far better for the dog than all the hassle and stress of being changed flights etc. Plus a person can travel with the dog if you wanted.
