I am planning to come over in October to get a feel for the place out of season. I am plannining my retirement, if there are any single guys out there do you think it would be possible to live on 1000 euros a month - that's after I have purchased say a 2 bedroom place and a small car? Also can anyone recommend a rental agency I would maybe stay for 2/4 weeks on this first trip? Many thanks.

A family can live on that so sure you would manage, unless you plan to wine and dine a lot of single ladies ( or gents)
