I see that my town's football team are in Carvoeiro (where we shall be next week) on pre-season training at the moment. I didn't realise that any of the hotels had the appropriate facilties. I hope that this might be a lucky omen resulting in promotion to the Championship at the end of the season!!!!

Blackburn Rovers were at Amondeoira Golf Resort at Silves last week !

Nice to see another swindon man out there. Perhaps you're right in thinking there are no hotels with the facilities, and that cant be a good omen. Good luck though.

Has it finally got its habitation license or were they there just to play golf ?

I have read in our local paper that the Swindon Town players spent their week's pre-season training at the Tivoli hotel, and apparantly were very impressed with the facilities there.

I cannot really comment, not having stayed at the Tivoli (although it does look very nice from the outside),and I haven't seen Swindon play for a few years, but I have seen them win 3 times at Wembley.
