Flights for Next Year
Flights for Next Year
Does anyone know when Easyjet release their flights for next year? Monarch prices are extortionate for next year, and the times for BA are not too good. Thanks.

Re: Flights for Next Year
A booking we had at our villa on VDM for the May (24th-31st) school half term week has just been cancelled.
I went on skyscanner.net to look at prices and the cheapest London (any) to Faro flight return - flying out of and back into the same airport (Southend) is £293 - the cheapest to and from Gatwick is £360 and if you wanted to go at sensible hours you are looking at £450. As it is half term and Mum and Dad are probably paying out for 3, 4 or 5 times this - they could be looking at around £2000 - just for a 2 1/2 hour flight to Portugal! These are all with Easyjet - Monarch is even more.
It would be interesting to know what prices these flights started at when they first came on line. The weeks either side of this one are around £150.
No wonder our potential guests cancelled.
Only glad we are no longer restricted by school terms - but think this has to be Easyjet, Monarch and the rest being greedy, and exploiting a captive market.
We have decided to suggest that other potential guests fly into Seville or Lisbon. What they save on flights into Faro will probably cover the rest of there holiday costs.

Re: Flights for Next Year
Trying a different airport in the UK may also be an option. There'll be a longer journey but it could save a lot of money.
We live in Leeds but flew to Faro from Glasgow for the last week of the English school holidays. Scottish children were already back at school and the difference in flight prices for a family of 4 was about £600!
As half-term holidays also vary in different parts of the country, it may be worth looking further afield for price differences.
