I know, I know ~ it's been mentioned a thousand times! But I arrive 2.1.14 and United play in the FA Cup on Sunday 5.1.14 on BT Sport. Have any of the usual sports bars got BT Sport? I am familiar with Hemingways, Harry's etc, but do they show live games broadcast by the relatively new channel BT Sport? Thanks x

Helder's Tropical Bar at the bottom end of Rocha Brava will certainly have it on and there is plenty of parking out front

As a Chelsea supporter for the past 60 years I have to question your comment. I think United's record speaks for itself?

Getting back to Lamby's question, I would not be too sure about this. I suspect that any football being shown would be through external streaming channels for the FA Cup rather than SKY. BT Sport is a bit unusual - free this year for broadband customers such as myself, but only allowed on one box - so even though I have SkY plus 1 Room, I can only view BT Sport on one box - unless I pay an extra £5 per month.
I was out in October and cannot recollect seeing any of the BT Sport matches being shown anywhere - not even sure BT Sport is shown outside the UK.
However, Lamby, the Utd/Swansea game is the only one being played at that time on Sunday so I suspect someone will have it. Have fun

Hi. Thanks for all the replies. We fly out 2.1.14 despite both of us recovering from an awful virus that ruined Xmas. Plus, mother in law having a heart attack three days ago!! We have debated long and hard whether to travel or not. As she is now stable and staying in hospital for two weeks family and friends said we must go. So, as I say, thanks. Looks like Bar 72 for the Swansea game.

So sorry to hear that you had such a bad Christmas. Hopefully the new year will be much better for you and your mother in law gets better. Enjoy Carvoeiro as well as you can in the circumstances.

Laserblaser it's called taking the Micky no bitterness intended that's what football supporters do to each other, you being a Chelski fan should be more than aquatinted with this, small club,no history.
And all from a very gloating Swansea supporter sitting in my hotel room in Manchester.
Mad for it.......l

Watched the Man U game in Hemingways. All the more exciting as friend had put money on Swansea at half time to win. Happy man at final whistle!!

Me too got on at 7/1 before the game certainly paid for my little trip up here.
If Dave took the bet he wouldn't be too happy!
