• National Service

Your help please?
Im writing up more chapters concerning our last year in Portugal.
One of our carpenter lads was going to leave us to do National Service( a very sad time for us..as he was lovely young fella and excellent carpenter)...but as I write I seem to have forgotten whether it was 1 year or two that they were conscripted for in Portugal

they used to do 2 years, now it's only 6 months!! Pinkie
