Not sure I can contain my excitement much longer! I have just extended my next visit to CVO. We were flying out Sunday 15th June for seven days, now staying eleven days :D Jet 2 charged £70.00 to change the flights, I thought that was pretty decent. Car hire & accommodation sorted. So, more visits to the longer establishments to watch the World Cup, more time in the sun and more eating at our favourite restuarants. Happy day

Two more days in work for us, then CVO bound Thursday, the start of that football rubbish. If you spot someone sitting with his back to the screen complete with earplugs, that'll be me.

So Pete, if I spot you in a bar with your back to the screen how will you accept a drink from a fellow forum member if you can't hear me with your ear plugs in?!?!? Sad I know, but I do love watching football when on holiday abroad, it brings people together. I know, I know, very shallow!! I do also like eating out, walking and all other things to do and enjoy in CVO. I can't wait. Whoever is in town I will see you soon for a beer  Rich, with Ramsey & Bale the Welsh will surely have their day!

About to head to airport for flight to Malaga with a neighbour who will be flat viewing over next few days. We'll be there for Spain v Netherlands. Looking forward to joining the locals in a tapas bar to watch the game.
Can remember couple of years ago watching Portugal v Germany whist in CVO. My son-in-law and me were only ones in a local Portugese bar wearing Portugal's colours!
Lamby, enjoy your time in CVO!!!

probably got one of them right :)

PP have a special on leading goalscorer, min bet €20/£20 (can be €10/£10 e/w) and for every goal that player scores you get €5/£5 cashback. Messi is short odds but what about Ronaldo at 18/1, should come out of the group and well capable of scoring a few in the process. This could be as good as Ruby in the first at Cheltenham, that was a real freebie.

Not so much the Welsh, my better half is a Liverpool supporter, so she will be cheering on Liverpool more than your countries side.

I think Belgium will do well Joey. They have changed their whole philosophy from the grass roots up.
I hope it's pays off for them
Maybe the 1/4 finals for them.

It'd be nice to see an underdog do well too.

May have a flutter . Will post what I bet, and it may be an opportunity to run me out of town. :D :D

Belgium did a fantastic job at restructuring their football setup all right. They have unbelievable talent available for such a small country (Mignolet for example will be lucky to get a game, and he was a Liverpool ever present all year) Personally think they just might be too young for this world cup (but would love to be wrong on that one), the fact that it's in SA would lead me to a Brazil v Argentina final with Argentina coming out on top. Here's hoping for a great world cup. :D :D :)

My tip to win?........ Argentina. Being in South America and with Messi, Di Maria and Aquero etc, etc I think they will do it. Brazil will relent to the pressure of being the home nation. My dark horse?....... Belgium. With the likes of Kompany, Hazard, Dembele & Lukaku and an easy group they will do well. Golden Boot? It has to be Sergio Aquero. With Argentina obviously due to do well and progress he will play a lot of games and if he stays injury free he will be leading goalscorer for the tournament. Remember, you heard it here first - now get to the bookies
Whatever, I am in Carvoeiro for the World Cup in a house with BBC & ITV and bars on my doorstep showing the games in a friendly, holiday atmosphere. Happy days :D :D

Sat outside Hemingways trawling the internet, rest of the gang watching Spain get beaten (may be) by the Orange men. Nice and warm, cold beer and fairly busy. Nice to see. Wifi now open all the time in Hemingways. : )
