this year we have decided to rent a villa out near Guia and i was wondering what transport options are available so we can come into carvoeiro for a meal or 3 have a few drinks and get safely back to the villa?

Would be happy to get the bus into Carvoeiro if there is one? and how much would a taxi back to Guia cost roughly?

thanks in advance for your help!

15 days to go till takeoff!! :D

If you are at Guia would it make more sense to go into Albufeira for meals rather than CVO?

You can put in you start location and destination and get a quote. Probably best to try a loacl company. Not sure how regulated taxi fares are in Portugal, but it should give an indication of cost. I did try it and think it quoted 54 euros for Guia to Carvoeiro.
We stayed in Guia when we were looking to buy, but that was 22 years ago so cannot recommend any where to eat.

Personally if I was staying in Guia I would eat in the restaurants there and give a trip to Albufeira a miss. All you would get is typical tourist food. In Guia you will get to go to the places the locals go to and the prices should be better.
