Our Carvoeiro holiday

Hi
We've just returned from a fabulous holiday in Carvoeiro.
We stayed at the Monte Santo Resort and for families with young children I cannot recommend it enough.
Anyone who owns a property on this resort should be chuffed to bits. Ii know I would be and we hope to return in 2015.
Apart from the excellent facilities we had a stunning meal in the restaurant, well worth a visit.
We visited Ferragudo and Portimao and took the children to Zoomarine, which they loved.
Restaurants wise we went to:
Originals near the Tenis Club 3 times. My boys loved the courtyard they could play and explore in.
The food is good value and the service is very hospitable. And they took heed of the allergies my youngest suffers with, which is why we were repeat visitors.
Donato's in Sesmarias. We only went here because it was one the few open on a Monday. The food was average at best and the service was non existent.
Lamim's in Lagoa. We were the only customers all night , which was a Wednesday. However everything was cooked perfectly. We had cataplana and the boys had salmon and clams. The service was really good and the owner very friendly.
A Paleta's . One of the cheapest meals we had. Service was extremely laid back and my prawns were a little over cooked, but the black pork was beautiful. The place was full of locals which is a good sign especially as we went around 10.00pm on a Thursday.
O Barril in Ferragudo. Excellent seafood rice and top notch service , even though it was really busy. The boys had salmon and clams which again were perfecly cooked. Would definitely return there.
We also went to an ice cream shop in CVO. It's on the road out of town . Pretty small but they did dairy free sorbets which was a god send for our youngest. Visited here twice. The ice creams were lovely too.
And apart from exploring the area around CVO and Caneiros beach, ligging out by the pool , that was our trip.
