back home from a lovely 2 weeks in CVO. we always try to do something new each year so here is a little review - we tried some new restaurants too so will review those under restaurant section :D

Boat trip to see the caves - we did the trip lasting 1 hour 20 mins from CVO beach to Benagil (cost 20 euros each) - absolutely lovely, the caves are really beautiful, especially those with the blow holes in the top, and there are quite a good few of those. Some of the caves have little beaches in them. We booked the day before we went so that we could get the time we wanted. Only down side was my daughter felt sea sick - didn't know as never been on a small boat before, so would have got her some sickness tablets.

Silves Medieval festival - this wasn't new to us as we go every year, but it is really worth the visit. The streets leading to the castle are decked with flags and banners and crammed with Moorish stalls. The residents are all dressed up and there are parades, jousting etc. It costs 2 euros to park (funds to the local fire brigade) and then 2 euros to enter the festival, but you can pay 5 euros and that includes dressing up (great for the kids) and food - there are hog roasts and drinks are served in ceramic mugs. excellent evening out for all the family. Tickets to watch the jousting are extra.

Algar seco Boardwalk. - Beautiful views and very well built. There are a few steps here and there nearer the church. But you can join it half way and walk towards algar Seco toltally on the flat. You can climb down some steps onto the rocks - sensible shoes only! :!:

Lovely review with some great ideas,

We did the boat trip a few yrs ago on the big sail ship which was the very best along with the little boat which went in and out of the caves.

Silves festival sounds excellent, especially as we love Silves.
