Looking for something for 3 nights in January 17th , 18th , 19th as I am coming out for a cheeky wee visit to my dad as he is in carvoeiro Jan/Feb . Can't believe the wife is letting me come out on my own

Ideally something in centre of village any suggestions ?

I've stayed at Carvoeiro Sol for two or three nights on several occasions, including in early January, although not for a few years. It was good value (through hotels.com or similar) clean, great location, decent breakfast etc. The last time was when the water heater broke in winter. I'd happily stay there again

Cheers , have stayed in the Sol before but it appears that it may be closed for winter as it isn't letting me book and it isn't coming up on any sites as available . Got the castelo guest house booked just over the road so that's perfect .

Pestana Palm Gardens are normally open in January, you could try them or Castelo Guest House.
Hope you get fixed up.

Casa Luiz up the hill just past the GNR. Every room has a view and is very comfortable.

My dad is staying in casa luiz popped in and had a look around a few weeks ago before booking it for him . I'm coming out for a few days to see him ( he doesn't know I'm coming ) just going to turn up and surprise him . Pestana palm gardens is open and really cheap £60 for 3 nights but can't be bothered with the walk into town as I'm only there a couple of days . Got a room at Castelo provisionally booked for £85 for 3 nights . Looking forward to surprising him and having a few beers . Flight from Edinburgh was only £50 return , cheap as chips .

Raithstar, could you check if Casa Luiz still up for sale please? Can't remember selling agent to check their website. Not back until March. Trying to persuade someone to explore acquiring the business...........I'm sure I'd make an excellant host!

Yep another place of the list , stayed in almost all the local hotels and a few villas over the last 3 or 4 years . It's really just a bed as I'm only there for a few days surprise visit to the old man . Looking forward to it , then it's a week in April , June and definitely one ,possibly two weeks in October .
