Just a Dream?

While reading of Lesley & Digger & Bruno's days of youth,it got me thinking of my own.
When I was a youngster I always wanted to be a dancer..either in ballet or on stage in chorus line....a real dream of mine....
Then in the 60s I was avid movie buff and I would stare up at the screen at actress Julie Christie of Dr ZHivago/Far from Madding Crowd(I'd spend ages trying to get my lips to look like hers

) and I wanted to look like her& be an actress....another dream..
Then in '74 'Abba' came along...and of course I wanted to be Agnetha the blonde one......again I would be in dreamland....but it wouldnt have happened as I cant sing a note!
Was there someone you wanted to be/or be like?or something you always dreamed of doing? Is it possible you can fulfil that dream?
Fellas (I believe) often dream of playing for their country...or dream of being an engine driver and the like......
What would Cowboy(I wonder?) wanna be if he wasnt a Cowboy

?
Do you dream of riches...being an actor/film star......sportsman/woman...singer/dancer.........

When I was younger, I always wanted to be Elkie Brooks, a really gutsy
singer. Now however, I think I'd like to be a celebrity Chef - not like Gordon Ramsey, I don't think I know enough swear words,
more like an older Jamie Oliver!

Actualy, Ellie, I was a musican (first choice) before I was a Cowboy.......
After the Great Car Crash of '76, things were never the same.
After 10, or so, years of trying to get back up to speed again, I finaly admited that it wasn't going to happen.
What was a drummer, who could no longer swing the band, to do?
Well, I had a lot of experince looking at the backside of the Band, so looking at the backside Cattle seemed like a natural career change.
So, I learned to like Burbon and Branch Water, and Became a Cowboy....
(BTW, Ray Charles died)
(but I haven't)

I dreamed I was a dancer in Pans People, and dance on Top of the Pops. That dream never came true. I dream of winning the lottery, still working on that one,I did marry the man of my dreams though, so some dreams can come true

I too had lots of dreams, now I dream of lost youth and beauty, maybe we dont realise that, what we've got at the time, we may yearn in the future. So make the best of what you've got now and be thankful.
( Hope that makes some sort of sense)

I used to dream of Brian Jones of the Rolling Stones, dancing on stage or in a movie, being 'discovered' by a Hollywood scout, Riding the range in Western America, saving the world and all it's animals, happiness, and proving to my Parents that I did know what I wanted in life.
I made some mistakes along the way but I am a happy well adjusted person (I hope) married to a great guy, and have had the pleasure of two beautiful daughters who have given us so much pleasure and not a moments worry, so I think I have done really well and I am happy with my lot.
Especially as we now own a house near cvo, what more can a person want.

I think guest would choose someone more dishy than her!
hasnt Brad recently said that staying married to someone for life isnt natural.Or words to that effect..
sounds pretty ominous to me
