Anyone flown from Gatwick with this airline? I have just booked return flights for the 2 of us for Sat 2nd July at 5:00pm departure returning Sat 16th July at 9:00pm departure. 2 x 20kg suitcases, 2 x 10kg hand luggage and pre-booked seats for less than £300 in total. Monarch was over £600 and BA over £700 (they were over £1000 if we took the early flight). Ryanair were over £400 from Bournemouth for same day and worse times.
Don't know why they are so cheap - I don't have to supply my own engine do I?

I use them regularly on business trips (not to Faro) and they undercut the majors (Easyjet, Ryanair, Monarch) every time. I don't include BA as they are consistently the most expensive - by a country mile.
Coincidentally, while waiting for my flight at Gatwick last Wednesday (to another destination) I got talking to a family travelling with Norwegian to Faro. They told me their 7 day return fares were £168 which included two checked in bags - booked 18 days prior! The flight that morning had originated in Oslo and staged through LGW. The commuters to London probably subsidised those heading for the warmth - smart thinking.
The cynic in me says that once they get a foothold the prices will go the same way as all the others - north

Have used them Rich, they are absolutely fine, only thing I didn't like was their flight times.

Great value and good service with this airline but in my experience you need to book very early to get the lower prices.
I read that next year they will also be flying to the States for very low prices

Yup, I have flown LGW - FAO with this airline when the dates/times suit (rare).
Same as all other low cost airlines.
Last time I flew with them was out of Gatwick SOUTH - so do check.
You can even get WiFi on board all the way. Its a bit slow, but good enough to keep up with Forum news.

Tuesday Thursday and Saturday only will be limiting to some people. I notice that the fares are the same for each day - not loaded on the Saturday.
The 5:00pm departure on Saturday is OK - just 40 mins later than Flybe from Southampton and the money saved pays for the car hire. Happy days

Hi Rich,
I've used them a couple of times and have found them to be very good, although like Sam I didn't like the times but they were cheap and comfortable.

We've used them a few times and the flights have been good value. The only downside is that we prefer a very early flight and theirs are usually later in the day. We were delayed coming out of Faro in September with norwegian and ended up at the far end of the perimeter at Gatwick waiting to get off the plane for about three quarters of an hour which wasn't great at midnight. The bus driver made some comment about cheap flights/ late times/ poor service from groundstaff but who knows what went on. A friend was delayed by about 4 hours in July going out which again wasn't a good start to her holiday.
Think they currently fly to New York and LA for greta rates and are starting a route to Puerto Rico
