Looking forward to my visit. Do you know if there is music any where in the village in November.
Coming along along with some friends on their first visit
Would like them to to enjoy their visit

Probably still have live music at the Jailhouse and Round-up in November.

A Tasquina.

Yes they do have music at A Tasquina but it is restaurant and the music may be 'live' but it is background music. A Taqsuina is a great restaurant but it is not areally a 'live music' venue.

Where is A Tasquina please.

A Tasquina is at Monte Carvoeiro. Easiest way to describe is to walk up the hill to the right of the square, (with the sea in front of you) follow the road to the right at the top of the hill then keep going till you come to a junction/island, turn right and Tasquina is 100 metres on the left. There is a shorter route but harder to explain. Should take around 10 minutes max to walk.

Think Tasquina have live music at sunday lunch time.....it used to be a great place when in Lagoa, not so sure now!

Should also be some live music at Bistro 75 ( some way down on the out road, rhs)....and Brady's ( up restaurant hill on left) had some last night.

A Tasquina have a great little jazz quartet playing on Friday nights. We had the pleasure of dining there last Friday , the food is superb, the band were great, the setting is lovely. Recommended.

Bradys had a board out last week describing Saturday as 'end of season'' so they might be closed for the winter.

What's happened to Bistro 72?......it looks modernised compared to when we were here in May, but looked shut yesterday, with no sign of Jailhouse Dave's appearances.
BTW, Jailhouse Dave is shown as being at the Jailhouse on friday's.

Hi Geoff, Bistro 72 is now run by Mandy from Rascals. Dave hasn,t played there this year, been at Jailhouse tuesdays & fridays.

On Jailhouse Facebook page, it says that Dave is there on Friday 6th Nov. Say hello to him for me.

We went to Jailhouse last night and saw Dave and gave him your best wishes.....he said Americanpie must be Tony! Dave unfortunately still refuses to sing it, nor Hotel California, but he did a " You look Wonderful tonight" for us. Just like old times.

Unfortunately, his last night there ( there were only 8 of us in the bar!) and its his last night at Alvor tonight.

If anyone is interested I am performing at Harry's Bar Sunday 29th November from 18:00 to 19:30, early doors. Just a slow lazy Sunday sound with some of the classics from 60's 70' 80' etc..
