Lisbon Departure for England
The same was said of the Spanish encounter and where are they now?
If England are true to form, they will fall into the inevitable trap that they are infallible resulting in them falling apart and the result will see them on the plane on Friday with the English press baying for Sven's blood/head
After all you have won nothing since 1966 - you fickle lot

Me So Dutch
Gambrinus??? I am glad you are not a fortune teller..........I think a well know German song : "Holland Holland, alles ist vorbei.......... might be used within Germany now with some slight changes to the lyrics itself:Gambrinus wrote:I predict a final England - Germany :
"Deutschland, Deutschland, alles ist vorbei.........."
I remember very well the last time Holland did not make it to the world series that germany was bullying about it singing Holland alles ist vorbei .
Revenge comes when least expected
So Let us all sing: "Deutschland, Deutschland, alles ist vorbei.........."
Yes, it's Mystic Meg here once again.... ignore td... he'll be forced to eat his haggis on Friday night
Well, he must be a sporran wearer after those comments he made??
Tonight's game will see a hard fought goalless first half and against the run of play in the second half, two goals in five minutes from Owen and that man Rooooooney settle the quarter final. 2-0 to the boys in white.
Bring on the Dutch in the semi........

Hey dutchie, Germany is still vice-champion of the world - remember, that WORLD cup you never saw from the inside??
Holland experienced first-hand what that german team is capable of - those youngsters will gain experience - zieht euch warm an
Meanwhile (one of the advantages of being able to support two teams), I will hang my Portugal flag very high
"they're going home, they're going home, Englands going home..."

Great Result Portugal
Hi Anchovy
Remember my prediction? You English are so easy to predict - you self destruct every time, as you have proved once more.
For the record I am Irish and no we did not qualify - before you make the obvious statement. We self destructed by appointing an inadequate English manager whose neanderthal man management skills deprived us of our driving force and then resorted to a dependence on second rate players. The outcome was inevitable.
Fortunately, we now have an Irish manager who has rekindled the true Irish spirt that will see us back where we belong - humbling the so-called giants.
That same Irish spirit prevailed at Twickenham when we humbled The World Champions on their home ground a few months ago - remember
England's self destruction last night was inevitable - everything centred on your 'wonder boy'. When he could no longer take part - you crumbled. What about the other prima donna, Beckham - what did he contribute?
It would appear that membership of the Sven Boy's Club, open only to prima donnas, has deprived your country of some truly great players - all of which was evident in Lisbon last night.
Time for a reality check England and I am sure you will, one day get it right - I do hope so as a world stage without England is like a Portugal without sunshine.
Well done Portugal, your fighting spirit is a shining example of committment and honour
