Returning to CVO after a few years and staying in the monte santo resort

Wondering if there is a little shop near by to get paper and milk, snacks, bread etc.

Any one know?

Would prefer no drive as I love a little morning walk

There is a little shop in the Villa Nova complex which is adjacent to Monte Santo, but I don;t know the opening times.

Depends how far you want to walk....the mini-market in Sesmarias is next door to the cafe where you can get papers & a restorative coffee, but it's not the most exciting of walks along the road, though an alternative ( & longer ) route via the tennis club is a bit better.
The Villa Nova shop is nearer, has milk etc but I doubt they have papers.

There is a little shop at the top of the hill opposite Carvoeiro Clube (Place Paraiso) who supply daily papers and essentials it is also a coffee shop and has WIFI. It is a few minutes walk from Monte Santo. Use the back pedestrian gate to exit Monte Santo, go right, down towards the village and the shop is on the right-hand-side. There also was a shop in Carvoeiro Club but I don't know if that is still open.

The shop at Vila nova opens quite early closes from 1 till 2 and is open again usually till about 4. It sticks the basics and had lovely fresh bread and cakes. Doesn't sell newspapers though
